Stretching canvas
artC offers 3 different ways to stretch the printed canvas prints. If you plan on framing your print in a traditional gallery style frame then you will want to use the standard 3/4" regular stretcher bars.
The sides do not have to be printed as they will be hidden by the frame.
For prints to be left unframed you have 2 options: The 1.5" gallery or 1.5" heavy duty stretcher bars.
They are essentially the same except for larger prints the heavy duty stretcher bars provide a sturdier frame. Note: if you require the sides to be printed for a gallery wrap look, this will add to the cost of printing.
How to finish the sides
If you don't want to frame your canvas print, you can have it stretched as a gallery wrap which allows it to be hung as is. However, you will have to consider how the sides of the print will look. There are 3 basic options to consider. The first is to have white canvas sides, with the image only on the face. The second is to pick up a solid color that enhances the print and print the sides. And the third is to have the image mirrrored and printed around the edges.
Hotel and Institutional Stretching
Artwork that is to be hung in public spaces as in hotel lobbies, rooms and restaurants may need to be secured and reinforced for protection. In these instances we can provide a backing board behind the canvas and locking hardware that secures paintings to walls.
