Custom Scanning and Printing
At artC we are often asked...How to begin the digital printing
process? And what is the key to making the highest quality
digital prints? And the answer is SCANNING!
We can’t really make the images better than the digital file we
start with. That is why we direct scan artwork upto 50”x50”.
Direct scanning is simply superior than camera work for color
integrity and details.
The scans are run through a series of color proofs to match the
original artwork. We are able to match 95% to the original artwork.
And once the scan is corrected it is set for good,
and we will archive it for you!

Giclee is simply the term for the making of high quality fine art prints from
a digital source using high resolution ink-jet printing.
Giclees typically are inkjet based digital prints produced to be used as fine
art. Our images are generated from high resolution digital scans and printed
with archival quality inks onto various inkjet media including canvas, fine art,
and photo papers.
The Giclée printing process provides excellent color accuracy because digital
profiles are used in the printing process to match the exact qualities of the
media being used to produce the print.
A major advantage of Giclée prints is that once an image is digitally created
and saved, additional reproductions can be made at a reasonable cost.
Another advantage of Giclée printing is that digital images can be
reproduced to almost any size and onto a large range of media,
giving the artist or photographer unlimited creative flexibility.
